Daisy chain is a special honor program specifically for junior students. One must be invited to it based on their GPA. It can be considered an honor and recognition of said students to participate in Daisy Chain or Junior Honor Attendant.
Daisy Chain requirements
Junior Honor Attendants are selected on an overall weighted GPA of 3.8 or higher over 5 semesters, with no D’s or F’s and no more than 1 per course per semester. The site administer will then select candidates during the third quarter of junior year to determine who will be a part of Daisy Chain
For someone that has not spent that many years in high school, the daisy chain requirements can seem impossible because that means you must have near perfect grades. But for the students who were accepted into daisy chain they were able to achieve and accomplish something that seems incredibly challenging thing to do. Daisy Chain wants to celebrate and recognize the hard work of these outstanding Steelers. These Steelers deserve and should be recognized for their hard work.

“Our teachers have high expectations now that we are in Daisy Chain, and we also hold ourselves to higher expectations. We have high expectations for ourselves since we made it into the program. We know we are smart, and we identify that we try hard. I feel like daisy Chain gives credit where it's due. It is also cool to get to see the seniors on the last day. You also feel good that you are recognized for your hard work. It makes us feel like we did something important. I like it encourages me more to try harder.”
