In addition, many students provided entertainment for the families that came to this wonderful event; Dolores Huerta students sang Spanish songs, and students from different middle and elementary schools were dancing folklórico.
A huge thanks to Fontana High School’s clubs, sports, and classes that contributed to the event:
Our Folklórico club had an outstanding performance for the audience. In addition to having an amazing performance, they were wear selling t-shirts, choco flan, chips, and soda in a bag.
Undocumented Allies was selling refreshing aguas, paletas, and beautiful handmade beaded bracelets all for $2.

The Fohi’s track team was selling candies and had an amazing booth stand. Wresting also had it’s own booth at the celebration as they were advertising the sport!
Link and Ren Crew decorated the center of the Quad Area with images of vital Hispanic figures such as Cedar Chavez and Dolores Huerta. With the help of the district, Ren Crew also decorated the Multi-purpose room with artworks from different elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools from the FUSD.
Our Chicano Studies history class also had artwork displayed that were made by students. Finally, our amazing CTE programs General Construction and Woodshop had students present some of their finest work in the Multi-purpose room.

The event would not have been possible without all these amazing schools who all showed up and participated!
Without the help of staff members and students of Fontana High School, this event would have been difficult to mange. With this event, Fohi hopes that they were able to bring a unique sense of community and spirit to the students of FUSD while educating them about Hispanic culture.
