Towards the end of 2019, a new virus called Corona Virus, sprang up in southern China. Little did the world know how much panic would come from people due to this virus.
The panic started to grow in March of 2020. Along with many schools nationwide in the United States, The Fontana School District was put on hold after what we thought would just be “spring break.”
Unfortunately, everyone started to become isolated and cut off from society and no one was allowed to go out. This happened because we went into quarantine- “a state, period, or place of isolation.” With this we all had to face hardships and see how ridiculous mankind could be.
Many people who were traveling around this time were stranded because airports and countries stopped accepting people.
Unfortunately, some people who faced this problem had monetary loss and went broke in a foreign country. In addition, people who had plans to travel lost a lot of money because their flights were cancelled. It is obvious that this sparked anger in people, I mean who wants to lose money?
People came up with interesting rumors like how certain products were going to run out. I mean come on, it was ridiculous, people were buying Lysol and toilet paper left and right because everyone thought it would run out. People even went to the extent to resell Lysol and toilet paper.
Eggs were very hard to get your hands on because everyone kept buying and exceeding amount; it got to the point that grocery stores even had to put a limit on how many eggs one person could buy. The shortage of eggs is bad for everyone because it is an affordable protein, so you could see why it was a problem that grocery stores kept running out of it.
