The 2024 Woodbridge XC Invite
On the 21st of September, FOHI’s Cross Country team traveled to the Great Sports Complex in Irvine California to participate in the 43rd Annual 2024 Woodbridge Cross-Country Invitational. This National Cross-Country event held many races all throughout the day with a total of thousands of people across the nation in attendance.
The Woodbridge Invitational is a highly competitive and major race for high school grades 9th-12th. Each race lasts about 30 minutes and has around 150-200 competitors in each, with the biggest races of the day having over 300 competitors.

Overall
FOHI’s Cross Country team was split in between the many races of the invitational that day with many of our runners setting new personal records for themselves for their 3-mile times. The Steeler Athletes who accomplished in their race are Pablo Olvero, Abraham Espinoza, Horacio Hernandez, Pedro Zemeno, Gabriel Mendez, Bryan Pena Perez, Jeremiah Rico, Lilak Gonzalez Lopez, Brissa Medrano, Samantha Sanchez, Bayron Meza, Adrian Jimenez, Max Manzanares, Oscar Haro, Carlos Oropeza, Ranesh Lal, Eduardo Gudino, Brandon Badillo, Eduardo Galvez, Christopher Vasquez, Jose Cruz-Vasquez, and Jorge Melara. If you see any of these athletes or Cross-Country athletes in general, make sure to tell them good job for their incredible hard work and perseverance during their race.
